Monaco and Antibes day trip

Whether you are a grand prix fan or simply love to discover a new country within a day — Monaco is the right place to go✨

As we are staying next to St. Tropez, we thought it would be a nice idea to drive around and visit other places. Monaco is a little more than 2 hours away from St. Tropez and the drive enables you to discover other cities as well. We decided to prolong the trip a little by passing through the Croisette of Cannes and Antibes — which I really recommend! We didn’t stop in Cannes, but it is nice to see with a drive through as well! We did however decide to stop in Antibes to eat something for lunch.

Antibes is located between Cannes and Nice on the French Riviera. We drove to the port and parked right next to it. We then walked to the old town of Antibes which is really beautiful!

You have amazing views of the coast but also very cute and authentic little streets. Honestly, we didn’t really know where we were going, we just walked through to discover. We went to the Provencal market located on the 📍cours masséna — a market with regional specialities. We then went to Place Nationale to eat something and headed back to the car.

From Antibes, it is a 1 hour drive. We parked at the parking square T. Gastaud — a little expensive but it is close go everything. We paid 7 euros for 2 hours.

We didn’t have that much time, so we preferred to see more of the Rocher de Monaco. We had a quick walk around the port and then walked up.

The walk is not that long, but there are many steps, so if it is warm, don’t forget to take water. Once you get up, the view is amazing!

This is also where you will see the Prince’s palace!

Walk around to see the “jardins st. martin”. These are little streets with vegetation and nice views looking over Monaco.

Then go to the Saint Nicholas Cathedral — you cannot go inside if your shoulders are free or stomach is free!

The best thing to do is simply to walk around. There is also an oceanographic museum, which apparently is great but we had no time to do it unfortunately.

Once you have finished discovering the upper part of Monaco, head back down to the port. We took a drink and then took the car to see the famous Casino of Monaco and to follow the route of the Grand Prix.

This is what we were able to do in half a day, however, there is a lot more to see if you have more time, such as the exotic gardens and the Japanese garden and the Opera! Subscribe to know when the next blog post will be out and don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions!
